With over 33 years of experience making and repairing stringed instruments, I

build mandolin family instruments, viols and smaller bodied, steel string guitars.

Working largely with hand tools, traditional techniques and well seasoned woods,

my instruments are carefully assembled as individual projects.

Woods are chosen for both their acoustic and aesthetic qualities.

Hide glue is used for most assembly. My instruments are either finished

with an oil varnish, french polished or both.
